Programmatic SEO in Jordan

A bilingual Arabic/English market with high connectivity, a young population and RTL execution that most builds get technically wrong.

We build genuinely bilingual Arabic/English programmatic surfaces for Jordanian companies — real RTL engineering, Jordanian Arabic copy, and the payment and delivery clarity that converts a visit into an enquiry.

What we do here

One engine, six moving parts — running in Jordan

Programmatic SEO is not a content order. It is a data model, a template system, a performance budget and a maintenance routine that has to keep working after launch. We own all four.

01

Two first-class locales

Separate /ar/ and /en/ trees with reciprocal hreflang, self-canonicals and a switcher that preserves the deep URL. Arabic is built as a full locale, not as a translation layer bolted onto an English master.

02

Real RTL engineering

Logical CSS properties instead of hard-coded left/right, correct bidirectional handling for mixed Latin/Arabic strings and numerals, mirrored icons and RTL-aware forms and tables — verified on rendered pages, not assumed from a theme setting.

03

Jordanian Arabic copy

Copy is drafted by Jordanian writers with query vocabulary sampled from live SERPs across Modern Standard, colloquial and transliterated variants — because all three appear in real commercial queries.

04

Commercial-terms components

COD, eFAWATEERcom and CliQ support, delivery windows and return terms ship as template components in both locales, answering the questions Jordanian buyers ask before they contact you.

05

City coverage that stops where the data stops

Amman first, then Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba where you have real local pricing and providers. That is close to the full addressable set; bulk-generating small-town pages adds risk without demand.

06

Monthly bilingual QA

Cross-locale duplication, RTL rendering regressions, coverage accuracy and index health reviewed every month, with pruning.

Categories, Facets, Brands, Buying Guides

Most catalogues bleed traffic through duplicate facets, thin category copy and a crawl budget spent on parameters nobody searches for. We decide which facet combinations deserve an indexable URL, give each one merchandising logic and unique copy, and canonicalise the rest — so the catalogue works as a search asset instead of a crawl trap.

  • Brand + category crossovers
  • Buying guides
  • Product comparison pages

How we get you ranking

The order we work in for Jordan

No batch of pages goes live before the batch before it has been measured. That sequencing is the reason these surfaces survive core updates.

01

Locale and RTL architecture

Language trees, hreflang and RTL engineering set before templates, because retrofitting RTL into an LTR system is where Jordanian builds break.

02

Bilingual demand mapping

Arabic and English query sampling run separately, since the same intent produces different SERPs and different competitors in each.

03

Entity model and city taxonomy

Governorate and neighbourhood layers built on the vocabulary Jordanians actually search, with Amman's west/east differences modelled in data.

04

Pilot of 40–120 URLs per locale

One vertical in Amman ships first in both languages and is measured before we scale.

05

Internal link fabric

Hub, city and locale-sibling links so deep pages stay close to the homepage in both languages.

06

Measure, prune, refresh

Monthly coverage, duplication and freshness review with dated refresh cycles.

Market reality

What building at scale in Jordan is actually like

Jordan is small, highly connected and unusually bilingual for the region. DataReportal recorded roughly 10.7 million internet users in early 2025 against about 9.53 million cellular connections, and e-commerce revenue is projected around US$2.55 billion in 2025 growing at roughly 9.4% CAGR. For a programmatic build, that means a modest addressable page set with genuinely competitive intent behind each one.

The distinctive requirement is bilingual RTL execution. Arabic is the primary consumer language and English carries significant B2B, technology and expatriate intent, so both need proper locale trees. Most Jordanian builds either publish English only or bolt Arabic on with a CSS direction flip that leaves numbers, punctuation and mixed-script strings rendering incorrectly.

Commercially, Jordanian buyers verify heavily before transacting. Cash on delivery is still common, eFAWATEERcom and CliQ handle a growing digital share, and a page that doesn't state its payment, return and delivery terms explicitly loses to one that does — regardless of ranking position.

Google is effectively the entire search market; alternatives are negligible.
OpenSooq dominates classifieds and local-service intent across the Levant, with deep Jordanian city and category taxonomies.
Arabic queries frequently mix Modern Standard Arabic terms with Jordanian colloquial phrasing and Latin-script transliteration — all three need sampling.
English-language SERPs in Jordan are competitive for B2B, education and technology intent, often against regional Gulf sites.
Assistant answers about Jordanian services frequently draw on regional Levant sources, so local entity corroboration matters more than domain age.
Where it goes wrong

The failure modes we keep finding in Jordan

Scaled pages don't get demoted for being scaled. They get demoted for being interchangeable, slow, or wrong about the place they claim to serve.

Broken RTL execution

Direction-flipping a left-to-right template is not Arabic support. Numbers, currency symbols, mixed Latin/Arabic strings, form fields and icon direction all break in ways that look amateur on exactly the pages meant to convert.

English-only builds

Publishing English only forfeits the Arabic consumer market, which is the larger half. Publishing Arabic only forfeits the B2B and technology layer. Both need real locale trees with reciprocal hreflang.

Machine-translated Arabic

Translated Arabic reads as translated, and Jordanian colloquial query phrasing never appears in it — so the pages neither convert nor match the queries that matter.

Payment and delivery terms left implicit

COD availability, eFAWATEERcom and CliQ support, delivery windows and return terms are the questions Jordanian buyers ask first. Pages that leave them to checkout lose buyers before checkout.

City coverage beyond Amman missing

Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba carry genuine demand and almost no competition, yet most builds stop at Amman and then bulk-generate thin pages for the rest.

Playbook

How we build a Jordan surface

Same order every time. The uniqueness gate and the performance budget come before a single page publishes.

  1. 1
    Bilingual locale architecture

Separate /ar/ and /en/ trees with reciprocal hreflang, self-canonicals per locale and a switcher that preserves the deep URL. Arabic is built as a first-class locale, not a translation layer.

  2. 2
    Genuine RTL engineering

Logical CSS properties, correct bidirectional text handling, mirrored iconography and Arabic-numeral policy decided explicitly — tested on real pages, not just in a style guide.

  3. 3
    Jordanian Arabic copy briefs

Copy drafted by Jordanian writers with query vocabulary sampled from live SERPs, covering MSA, colloquial and transliterated variants.

  4. 4
    Commercial-terms components

Payment methods, COD, delivery windows and return policy are template components on every commercial page, in both locales.

  5. 5
    City expansion with real data

Amman first, then Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba in waves, each with local pricing, providers and coverage rather than duplicated capital copy.

  6. 6
    Monthly bilingual QA

Cross-locale duplication, RTL rendering regressions, coverage accuracy and index health reviewed monthly.

Questions

Programmatic SEO in Jordan — straight answers

Arabic or English for a Jordanian site?

Both, as separate locale trees with reciprocal hreflang. Arabic carries the larger consumer market; English carries B2B, technology, education and expatriate intent. Publishing one and translating on the fly serves neither properly.

What does proper RTL actually require?

Logical CSS properties instead of hard-coded left/right, correct bidirectional handling for mixed Latin/Arabic strings and numbers, mirrored icons and navigation, and RTL-aware form and table layouts — verified on rendered pages, not assumed from a theme setting.

Is medical tourism content worth building?

Jordan is a recognised regional medical-travel destination, so yes — but it is YMYL content. It needs named, credentialed reviewers, accreditation references and dated updates, or it will not hold a ranking.

How many cities should we cover?

Amman first, then Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba where you have real local data. That is close to the full addressable set; bulk-generating small-town pages adds risk without adding demand.

Do payment methods belong on service pages?

Yes. COD, eFAWATEERcom and CliQ availability are among the most common pre-purchase questions here. Stating them on the page answers a real query and removes the main hesitation before contact.

Want the Jordan surface scoped before you build it?

We'll audit the data source, size the first batch, set the performance budget and tell you honestly if programmatic is the wrong tool for your category.
