Our refund principles
WBP is a small, product-led team. We do not use dark patterns, we do not hide cancellation flows, and we do not pretend a refund is impossible. What we do believe is this: a refund is the outcome when our product or service genuinely does not fit your need — not a way to consume weeks of hands-on work and then walk away for free.
- Satisfaction-first: we try to resolve the issue before any refund conversation begins.
- Transparent: we tell you exactly what is refundable, what is not, and why.
- Fair to both sides: work already delivered — meetings, deliverables, documents, strategy — is compensated.
- Honest defaults: free plans exist on every plugin so you can validate fit before paying anything.
Plugins & product subscriptions (billed via Freemius)
All WBP plugin licenses and subscriptions are processed by Freemius, our merchant of record. Freemius operates its own standard refund window (typically 14 days for most products, 7 days for renewals) and its own dispute process. Freemius terms apply in parallel to ours, and Freemius may extend or restrict refunds according to its own rules.
Our satisfaction-first approach on top of Freemius:
- You reach out with the issue via support before requesting a refund.
- Our engineers investigate and try to reproduce and resolve the issue — bug fix, config change, workaround, or feature guidance.
- If we cannot make the plugin work for your use case within a reasonable time, we issue a refund via Freemius — no interrogation, no guilt trip.
If you skip step 1 and go straight to Freemius for a refund inside the Freemius window, that is your right — you will still get your money back. But you will also miss the fix we could probably ship for you.
Credit packs & top-ups
Credit packs are refundable within 14 days of purchase, pro-rated against credits already consumed. Consumed credits fund real machine time, API calls, model tokens and infrastructure — those costs are not recoverable and cannot be refunded.
Example: you buy the Growth Pack (100,000 credits) and use 15,000 within 5 days. If you request a refund on day 6, we refund the unused portion (85% of the pack). If your balance is fully consumed, there is nothing to refund.
Consulting, services & brand engagements
Service engagements — consulting, done-for-you setups, brand deals, sponsorships, retainer work, private strategy — are handled differently from software licenses because they involve human time that cannot be un-spent. Once we sit in a meeting with you, review your stack, or produce a document, that effort is real.
Our published schedule for service refunds is straightforward and works from your project kickoff or first booked meeting:
| Time since kickoff | Refund |
|---|---|
| Within 1 week | We deduct up to 25% to cover onboarding, discovery calls and preliminary work. The remaining ~75% is refunded. |
| Within 2 weeks | We deduct up to 50% to cover completed meetings, documents and deliverables. The remaining ~50% is refunded. |
| Beyond 2 weeks | Refund is calculated based on the actual work already delivered — meetings held, decks and documents produced, hours logged, and strategy shared. We provide an itemized quotation, deduct the value of delivered work, and refund the balance. Full refunds are not offered at this stage because real work has been delivered. |
Example: you engage us for a 4-week programmatic-SEO consulting sprint. On day 20 you decide to change direction. By that point we have held 5 working sessions, delivered a keyword architecture document, and produced a publishing plan. We itemize what was delivered, price it fairly against the engagement rate, and refund the remainder. You keep the deliverables. You do not pay for work not yet performed.
Combined product + service engagements
If you have used our plugins and consumed our services (consulting, meetings, custom setup, workshops) and then request a refund on the whole relationship, please understand: we cannot refund a combined engagement in full. Software you have run in production and time we have spent on your project have real cost. We will always be fair, we will always be transparent about the math, but a full refund on delivered work is not something we can offer.
Trying to route a refund through a chargeback or bank dispute in order to keep both the software and the services is treated as a serious matter — it is unfair to a small product team and we will contest such disputes with the full record of work delivered.
How to request a refund
- Email support@wpbulkpublishing.com or use the contact form.
- Include your order ID (from your Freemius receipt) or the email address on your WBP account.
- Tell us what is not working. A screenshot or a two-line description is enough.
- Give us a fair window (usually 48–72 hours) to attempt a resolution.
- If we cannot resolve it, we process the refund according to the sections above.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank posting times are outside our control and typically take 5–10 business days after issue.
Chargebacks & disputes
If you open a bank chargeback without contacting us first, your account is suspended until the dispute is resolved. We keep full records of engagement — timestamped meetings, delivered documents, commit history, support tickets — and we submit those records to the payment processor. Please just email us first. We are humans and we would rather fix the issue than lose a customer.
