1. Google Search Essentials
Search Essentials is Google's baseline: technical requirements (crawlable, indexable, not blocked), spam policies (no manipulation), and key best practices (helpful, people-first content). WBP treats Search Essentials as the floor, not the ceiling.
2. E-E-A-T — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust
E-E-A-T is not a ranking factor by itself — it's the framework Google's Quality Raters use to judge whether a page deserves to rank. For programmatic pages, it's the hardest bar to clear.
- Experience — is there evidence the author actually did the thing?
- Expertise — does the author have credentials relevant to the topic?
- Authoritativeness — is the site a recognised voice on this topic?
- Trust — is the page accurate, transparent, and safe?
The WBP Author Box, per-URL bylines, verifiable credentials block, and citation surface are all designed to make E-E-A-T legible to raters and to LLMs.
3. Helpful Content system
Google's Helpful Content system is now part of the core ranking system. It targets sites created primarily to rank, not to help. WBP's Bulk Page Publisher ships with a Helpful Content self-assessment that runs on every batch — pages that fail thin-content, duplicate-intro, or entity-coverage checks cannot publish.
4. Spam policies
Google's public spam policies cover scaled content abuse, site reputation abuse, expired-domain abuse, cloaking, doorway pages, hidden text, keyword stuffing, link spam, and machine-generated traffic. WBP's template gates block the patterns automatically — you cannot publish a doorway page with WBP even if you try.
5. Structured data guidelines
Structured data must describe the visible content, be complete, and use eligible types. WBP's Schema Builder ships 30+ types (Article, Product, FAQPage, HowTo, LocalBusiness, Recipe, Event, Course, MedicalCondition, and more), dedupes across plugins, and runs a local validator + Rich Results Test button on every save.
6. Core Web Vitals
LCP < 2.5s, INP < 200ms, CLS < 0.1 — the three metrics that describe a real user's experience of the page. WBP measures CWV per-template, so you can see which template silently regressed before it costs you rankings.
7. Indexing — crawl, render, index
Being crawlable and not blocked is table stakes; being worth indexing is the real bar. WBP surfaces per-URL index status from Search Console, flags pages that are Discovered-not-Indexed or Crawled-not-Indexed, and lets you fix them at the template layer instead of one URL at a time.
8. How WBP enforces every rule above
- Every template ships with a page contract — minimum entities, minimum unique intro, required schema, required internal links.
- Every batch runs a Helpful Content self-assessment before saving.
- Every save runs a local Rich Results validator.
- Every deploy pushes to IndexNow, federates the sitemap to Search Console + Bing, and re-checks CWV.
- Every URL gets an AI Tuning Score so LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity can extract and cite it correctly.
